Mayan Copal Insence Resin ~Healing & Cleansing~

Copal is sacred to the indigenous cultures of the Central and South Americas. It is most often used during spiritual ceremonies because of it's powerful affective nature in cleansing the space and bringing grounding to the soul. Copal clears energetic blockages and brings in balance by uniting the energizing force of the Sun, and the grounding, transmutative properties of the Earth. It is a gentle healer, drawing out and transmuting negative energy. It aids in physical self-healing, emotional healing and environmental cleansing. 

How to burn Resin: Gather a small mound of sand or ash in your smudge plate. Light your charcoal tablet until it begins to spark. Using a torch lighter works best. Place it down on the sand/ash mound (using tongs), and allow it to continue burning until it has burned enough for a thin layer of ash to cover the charcoal tablet. Place your resin on the charcoal tablet and allow it to burn.
