Our Cacao de Peru is crafted from prized Criollo cacao grown in the fertile lands of Southern Peru, beneath a natural canopy of shade trees. This cacao is carefully harvested, fermented, sun-dried, and stone-ground into a rich, luscious paste, preserving the cacao’s naturally complex character.

Known for its deep, nutty flavor and smooth texture, this single-origin cacao offers a beautifully rich and grounding experience - perfect for ceremonial use, intentional practices, or simply savoring a nourishing cup of cacao in your daily ritual.

Sourced with care from the lush landscapes of Peru, this cacao honors both the traditional craft of cacao making and the remarkable character of the Criollo variety.

Ingredients: Raw Organic Heirloom Cacao

Pure Intentions: This Organic Cacao is single origin, ceremonial grade Cacao from Peru, from our heart to yours, bringing real medicinal chocolate to the community who seeks it's potent heart-opening properties.

How To Prepare: 
For a traditional ceremonial dose, we recommend 1 oz (approximately 12 discs) prepared with 16 oz of hot water or plant-based milk. You can also create a creamier blend using half water and half plant-based milk. Oat milk and coconut milk are especially delicious with cacao.

There is no need to follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Feel free to experiment with your serving size and discover what feels right for you. If you’re new to ceremonial cacao, we recommend starting with 5–10 discs and gradually increasing your dose from there.

Prepare a pot of water or plant based milk, and add your preferred amount of cacao into the pot after chopping it down. Stir frequently as the liquid begins to heat up, and the cacao begins to melt. Remove from stove when the cacao has mostly melted. Feel free to use a hand blender or frother to create a creamier blend, or transfer to a blender before you drink.

Feel free to add maple syrup, coconut sugar or any other sweetener you desire. You can also add cinnamon, cayenne pepper, turmeric, ground vanilla, lavender, rose or any other spices you'd like.

Our cacao offers a rich supply of antioxidants, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, and unique compounds that have been shown to boost energy levels and feel-good brain neurotransmitters. Our low-temperature, stone ground process of this Peruvian cacao ensures that our paste retains the original nutrition found within the whole bean.

*Please note that due to hot temperatures in the summer , the cacao may melt during shipping. We have not been able to find an eco-friendly (plastic-free) ice pack solution to ship these cold yet. When you receive your cacao, place it in the fridge for a few hours before opening. 🙏🏼🍫
